Orton Gillingham Approach to Reading Intervention
The Orton Gillingham method has classically provided intensive rehabilitation in reading, spelling, writing, and reading comprehension for children with learning disabilities like dyslexia.
The Orton Gillingham approach is multi-sensory, kinesthetic, and phonics based. Multi-sensory education incorporates the three learning pathways, which are: auditory, kinesthetic, and visual. This approach is beneficial not only for students with dyslexia, but for all learners.
